FX to Broadcast Dillons Sunflower Showdown

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The 2012 edition of the Dillons Sunflower Showdown will air on FX to a full national audience as the Big 12 Conference and its broadcast partners announced today television selections for October 6.

The sold-out game will kick at 11:05 a.m. from Bill Snyder Family Stadium and mark the first time since the 2009 season that the in-state rivalry game will be played in Manhattan.

With five sellouts already announced this season, only a very limited number of tickets are available for one remaining home game – the October 27 homecoming matchup with Texas Tech.

To purchase tickets fans can visit the ticket office online at www.kstatesports.com, call the ticket office by phone at (800) 221-CATS, or purchase in person at the Bramlage Coliseum Ticket Office between 8:30 a.m., and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Coming off a win at No. 5 Oklahoma, seventh-ranked K-State is idle this week before hosting the Jayhawks on October 6.
