K-STATE LOOKS FOR 2-0 BIG 12 START SATURDAY NIGHT IN LUBBOCK

Kansas State
, coming off a dramatic 24-23 Big 12-opening win over Iowa State at Arrowhead Stadium, will hit the road for the fourth time in five weeks Saturday when it takes on Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas. The contest, which will kick at 6 p.m., will end a stretch that saw the Wildcats play four games away from Bill Snyder Family Stadium over a five-week period.

The game will be televised live by Fox Sports Net on a regional basis as FSN Kansas City, Midwest (except in St. Louis) and Southwest will air the Big 12 matchup. Bill Land, Gary Reasons and Emily Jones will have the call. A live audio broadcast is also available across the K-State Sports Network (and 107.7 FM for those inside Jones AT&T Stadium), online at www.k-statesports.com and on SIRIUS satellite radio channel 91. Wyatt Thompson will call the action with Stan Weber serving as the color analyst and Matt Walters providing sideline updates.

A QUICK LOOK AT THE WILDCATS
K-State opened Big 12 Conference play with a 24-23 triumph over Iowa State at Arrowhead Stadium as Emmanuel Lamur blocked the potential game-tying extra point with :32 left in the game after a late Cyclone touchdown. With the game tied at 17, quarterback Grant Gregory, in his first career start, hit Brandon Banks for a 54-yard score with 5:36 left in the fourth quarter to give the Cats a 24-17 lead.

Gregory was outstanding in his first start as the sixth-year senior completed 16-of-23 passes for 206 yards and two scores while adding another score on the ground. Daniel Thomas continues to lead the Big 12 in rushing yards and carries after totaling 134 all-purpose yards on Saturday.

The Wildcat defense continues to put up solid numbers as it ranks 16th nationally in total defense (267.2), 7th in pass defense (152.6) and 22nd in pass efficiency defense (101.4). Tysyn Hartman has paced the unit with 26 tackles, four breakups and three interceptions, while Alex Hrebec is coming off an 11-tackle afternoon last week and has 21 tackles in his last two games. Lamur has 25 total tackles on the year with two blocked kicks, a fumble recovery and one pass breakup.
