K-State in the NFL - Week 6

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Each week throughout the 2014 season, k-statesports.com will highlight former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.


Arthur Brown, LB - Baltimore Ravens
Brown, a second-round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, was inactive for the Ravens' 48-17 blowout win at Tampa Bay on Sunday. Baltimore improved to 4-2 with the victory.

Bryce Brown, RB - Buffalo Bills
A seventh-round pick in 2012 by Philadelphia who was traded to Buffalo in the offseason, Brown was inactive for the Bills' 37-22 home loss to New England on Sunday, a defeat that dropped Buffalo to 3-3.

Jeromey Clary, OL - San Diego Chargers
Clary, an eighth-year offensive lineman for San Diego, remains on the Chargers' physically unable to perform list. Clary, who has played in 103 career regular season games, saw the Chargers win at Oakland, 31-28, to improve to 5-1.

Emmanuel Lamur, LB - Cincinnati Bengals
Lamur, an undrafted rookie free agent signee in 2012, started his fifth game of the year and came away with eight tackles, including two for a loss, in Cincinnati's 37-37 tie against Carolina on Sunday. Lamur has totaled 37 tackles, four passes defended and one interception for the 3-1-1 Bengals.

Cornelius Lucas, OL - Detroit Lions
Lucas, an undrafted rookie free agent offensive lineman for Detroit, played in the Lions' 17-3 victory at Minnesota on Sunday. The Lions improved to 4-2 with the win.

Jordy Nelson, WR - Green Bay Packers
A seventh-year veteran, Nelson started his 47th career game in Green Bay's 27-24 last-second win at Miami on Sunday. The former second-round pick carded nine receptions for 107 yards and opened the game's scoring with his first-quarter touchdown. It was Nelson's 15th career 100-yard game, including his third this season. In six games this year, Nelson leads the NFL with 632 receiving yards on 43 receptions with five touchdowns, while he has totaled 5,222 yards and 41 touchdowns in his six-plus years in the league. The Packers improved their record to 4-2.

Terence Newman, CB - Cincinnati Bengals
A 12-year NFL veteran, Newman made his 164th career start in Cincinnati's 37-37 tie against Carolina on Sunday. Newman carded five tackles and broke up a pass to improve his career totals to 702 and 139, respectively. The Bengals are now 3-1-1 this season.

Tavon Rooks, OL - New Orleans Saints
A sixth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Rooks is on the New Orleans practice squad. The 2-3 Saints were idle last week.

Darren Sproles, RB/Returner - Philadelphia Eagles
Sproles, a 10th-year pro, rushed seven times for 39 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown run, in Philadelphia's 27-0 blanking of the New York Giants on Sunday night. Sproles, who also returned four punts for a 14.3-yard average, suffered an MCL sprain toward the end of the game but is expected to miss little time. Traded to the Eagles from the Saints in the offseason, Sproles how has 16,208 career all-purpose yards to rank 20th in NFL history, just 52 yards behind another active player in Wes Welker. The Eagles improved to 5-1.

Daniel Thomas, RB - Miami Dolphins
Thomas, a 2010 draft pick by Miami who was resigned by the Dolphins last month, was inactive for Miami's 27-24 last-second home loss to Green Bay on Sunday. The running back has rushed seven times for 50 yards and caught two passes for 46 yards this season for the 2-3 Dolphins.

Justin Tuggle, LB - Houston Texans
Tuggle, a starting linebacker for Houston, had a big night for the Texans, but it wasn't enough as they fell, 33-28, at home to Indianapolis on Thursday night. Tuggle came away with nine tackles to finish second on the team, while he carded his first career interception and deflected another pass. In six games this season, the former undrafted rookie free agent has 26 tackles to improve his two-year career total to 40. The Texans fell to 3-3 on the season.

Reggie Walker, LB - San Diego Chargers
Walker, a sixth-year pro who is in his second season with the Chargers, was inactive for San Diego's 31-28 win at Oakland on Sunday. Walker, who has four tackles this season, saw the Chargers improve to an AFC West Division leading 5-1 record.

Ty Zimmerman, S - New Orleans Saints
Zimmerman, an undrafted rookie free agent signee by the New Orleans Saints, is on injured reserve for the 2014 season. The Saints, who are 2-3 this season, were idle last week.
