Wildcats, Buffs to Play on FSN

MANHATTAN, Kan. The Kansas State Athletics Department learned Monday afternoon that the Wildcats’ football game at Colorado on Saturday, Nov. 4, has been selected by Fox Sports Net for network cable distribution and will be telecast live at 2:30 p.m. (CT)/1:30 p.m. (MT).

The game, which is expected to be available to much of the nation, will mark Kansas State's 34th appearance on FSN since the formation of the Big 12 in 1996. Final clearances for the telecast will be announced as soon as they are made available by Fox Sports Net.

The Kansas State at Colorado game will be the Wildcats’ third television appearance on Fox Sports Net this season but the first time K-State has been selected to be part of the Big 12’s weekly television package since the Louisville game on Sept. 23.

The telecast on Nov. 4 will also mark the first time the K-State vs. Colorado game has been televised since the 2002 season.

Either Kansas State or Colorado has won the Big 12 North Division every year since 2000 and the K-State vs. CU series had been one of the most frequently televised in the Big 12 until 2003. The game was telecast either regionally or nationally for nine consecutive seasons between 1994 and 2002.

The series has also featured a number of very close finishes of late, with three of the last four meetings being decided by a touchdown or less.

Four other Big 12 games will also be available on television on Nov. 4, including Oklahoma at Texas A&M (ABC), Missouri at Nebraska (ABC), Baylor at Texas Tech (FSN) and Oklahoma State at Texas (TBS).
