K-State in the NFL - Week 8

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Each week throughout the 2014 season, k-statesports.com will highlight former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.

Arthur Brown, LB - Baltimore Ravens
Brown, a second-round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, was inactive for the Ravens' 27-24 loss at Cincinnati on Sunday. Baltimore fell to 5-3 with the loss.

Bryce Brown, RB - Buffalo Bills
After being inactive the first seven games of the season, Brown made his Buffalo debut as the starting running back in the Bills' 43-23 victory at the New York Jets on Sunday. A seventh-round pick in 2012 by Philadelphia who was traded to Buffalo in the offseason, Brown rushed seven times for 15 yards. The Bills are now 5-3 this season.

Jeromey Clary, OL - San Diego Chargers
Clary, an eighth-year offensive lineman for San Diego, remains on the Chargers' physically unable to perform list. Clary, who has played in 103 career regular season games, saw the Chargers drop a 35-21 Thursday-night contest at Denver. San Diego is now to 5-3 this season.

Emmanuel Lamur, LB - Cincinnati Bengals
Lamur, an undrafted rookie free agent signee in 2012, was a major factor in Cincinnati's 27-24 victory over divisional-rival Baltimore on Sunday. The linebacker had five tackles and picked off a Joe Flacco pass three plays into the third quarter, which eventually led to a Bengal touchdown to give Cincinnati a 14-6 lead. Lamur has 42 tackles, five passes defended and two interceptions this year for the Bengals, who improved to 4-2-1.

Cornelius Lucas, OL - Detroit Lions
Lucas, an undrafted rookie free agent offensive lineman for the Lions, played Detroit's 22-21 come-from-behind victory over Atlanta in London, England, Sunday morning. The Lions trailed 21-0 at halftime but scored 22 unanswered points, including a 48-yard field goal as time expired. Detroit improved to 6-2 with the win to take over the lead in the NFC North.

Jordy Nelson, WR - Green Bay Packers
A seventh-year veteran, Nelson started his 49th career game in Green Bay's 44-23 loss Sunday night at New Orleans. The former second-round pick was held in check by the Saints' secondary as he was only able to haul in three passes for 25 yards. In eight games this year, Nelson has 50 receptions for 737 yards and six touchdowns to push his career totals to 353, 5,327 and 42, respectively. Green Bay fell to 5-3 this season.

Terence Newman, CB - Cincinnati Bengals
A 12-year NFL veteran, Newman made his 166th career start and came away with four tackles and a pass breakup in Cincinnati's 27-24 victory over divisional-foe Baltimore on Sunday. Newman now has 709 career tackles and 140 career passes defended, including season totals of 40 and seven, respectively. Cincinnati is now 4-2-1 this season.

Tavon Rooks, OL - New Orleans Saints
A sixth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Rooks is on the New Orleans Saints' practice squad. New Orleans defeated Green Bay, 44-23, Sunday night to improve to 3-4.

Darren Sproles, RB/Returner - Philadelphia Eagles
Sproles, a 10th-year pro, was inactive due to injury for Philadelphia's 24-20 loss at Arizona on Sunday. Traded to the Eagles from the Saints in the offseason, Sproles has 211 rushing yards and three touchdowns, 198 receiving yards and a 15.6-yard average on punt returns this season. He has also racked up 16,208 career all-purpose yards to rank 20th in NFL history. The Eagles fell to 5-2 with the loss.

Daniel Thomas, RB - Miami Dolphins
Thomas, a 2010 draft pick by Miami who was cut and then resigned by the Dolphins, carded 18 rushing yards on four carries and 12 receiving yards on two catches in Miami's 27-13 win over in-state foe Jacksonville Sunday afternoon. The fourth-year running back has totaled 93 yards on 18 carries this season as well as 83 receiving yards on six catches for the 4-3 Dolphins.

Justin Tuggle, LB - Houston Texans

Tuggle, a second-year linebacker for Houston, started and made three tackles in the Texans' 30-16 victory at Tennessee on Sunday. In eight games this season, the former undrafted rookie free agent has 34 tackles to improve his two-year career total to 48. The Texans evened their record at 4-4.

Reggie Walker, LB - San Diego Chargers
Walker, a sixth-year pro who is in his second season with the Chargers, came away with one tackle in San Diego's 35-21 loss at Denver Thursday night. Walker has 10 tackles this season for the 5-3 Chargers.

Ty Zimmerman, S - New Orleans Saints
Zimmerman, an undrafted rookie free agent signee by the New Orleans Saints, is on injured reserve for the 2014 season. The Saints topped Green Bay, 44-23, Sunday night to improve to 3-4.
