K-State in the NFL - Week 9

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Each week throughout the 2014 season, k-statesports.com will highlight former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.

Arthur Brown, LB - Baltimore Ravens
A second-round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, Brown played in his first game of the year, a 43-23 loss at Pittsburgh Sunday night, but did not record any statistics. The Ravens fell to 5-4 with the loss.

Bryce Brown, RB - Buffalo Bills
Brown and the Buffalo Bills were off last weekend. A seventh-round pick in 2012 by Philadelphia who was traded to Buffalo in the offseason, Brown has played in one game this year when he rushed seven times for 15 yards. The Bills are 5-3.

Jeromey Clary, OL - San Diego Chargers
An eighth-year offensive lineman for San Diego, Clary remains on the Chargers' physically unable to perform list. Clary, who has played in 103 career regular season games, saw the Chargers fall at Miami, 37-0, Sunday to drop their season record to 5-4.

Zac Diles, LB - Houston Texans
A 2007 draft pick by Houston who resigned with the club last week, Diles had one special teams tackle in the Texans' 31-21 home loss to Philadelphia on Sunday. It was Diles' 70th career NFL game and first since November 14 last season with the Tennessee Titans. Houston fell to 4-5 with the loss.

Emmanuel Lamur, LB - Cincinnati Bengals
An undrafted rookie free agent signee in 2012, Lamur led the Bengals with seven tackles in their 33-23 win over Jacksonville on Sunday. The linebacker, who made his seventh start of the year, also knocked away two passes and had one quarterback hurry. Lamur has 49 tackles, seven passes defended and two interceptions this year for Cincinnati, which leads the AFC North with a 5-2-1 record.

Cornelius Lucas, OL - Detroit Lions
Lucas, an undrafted rookie free agent offensive lineman, and the Lions enjoyed their bye week. Detroit leads the NFC North with a 6-2 record.

Jordy Nelson, WR - Green Bay Packers
Nelson, a seventh-year veteran, and the Green Bay Packers were idle. A career 49-game starter, Nelson has 50 receptions for 737 yards and six touchdowns this season to push his career totals to 353, 5,327 and 42, respectively. Green Bay is second in the NFC North at 5-3.

Terence Newman, CB - Cincinnati Bengals
Newman, a 12-year NFL veteran, carded six tackles and a pass breakup in his 167th career start, a 33-23 Cincinnati win over Jacksonville on Sunday. Newman now has 715 career tackles and 141 career passes defended, including season totals of 46 and eight, respectively. The Bengals lead the AFC North at 5-2-1.

Tavon Rooks, OL - New Orleans Saints
Rooks, a sixth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, is on the New Orleans Saints' practice squad. New Orleans won at Carolina, 28-10, Thursday evening to improve to 4-4.

Darren Sproles, RB/Returner - Philadelphia Eagles
A 10th-year pro, Sproles carded 90 all-purpose yards in Philadelphia's 31-21 victory at Houston on Sunday. Traded to the Eagles from the Saints in the offseason, Sproles rushed three time for 17 yards, caught four passes for 46 yards and returned a two punts for 27 yards. In seven games this year, Sproles has 228 rushing yards and three touchdowns, 244 receiving yards and a 15.4-yard average on punt returns. He has also racked up 16,298 career all-purpose yards to rank 18th in NFL history. The Eagles improved to 6-2 with the win to lead the NFC East.

Daniel Thomas, RB - Miami Dolphins
A 2011 draft pick by Miami who was cut and then resigned by the Dolphins this year, Thomas helped the Dolphins blow out San Diego, 37-0, at home on Sunday. The fourth-year back caught two passes for 14 yards and rushed nine times for eight yards. He has totaled 101 yards on 27 carries this season as well as 97 receiving yards on nine catches for the 5-3 Dolphins.

Justin Tuggle, LB - Houston Texans
A second-year linebacker for Houston, Tuggle started and made a pair of tackles in the Texans' 31-21 loss at home to Philadelphia on Sunday. In nine games this season, the former undrafted rookie free agent has 36 tackles to improve his two-year career total to 50. The Texans fell to 4-5.

Reggie Walker, LB - San Diego Chargers
A sixth-year pro who is in his second season with the Chargers, Walker had one special teams tackle in San Diego's 37-0 loss Sunday at Miami. Walker has 11 tackles this season for the 5-4 Chargers.

Ty Zimmerman, S - New Orleans Saints
An undrafted rookie free agent signee by the New Orleans Saints, Zimmerman is on injured reserve for the 2014 season. The Saints defeated Carolina, 28-10, Thursday night to even their record at 4-4.
