K-State Announces Saturday Parking Plan

MANHATTAN, Kan. Parking priority at the Kansas State sports complex for fans attending the football and men’s basketball games on Saturday will be given to those holding football parking passes, athletics officials said today.

The Big 12 Conference and ABC have announced that the football game against defending national champion Texas will begin at 7 p.m., from Bill Snyder Family Stadium.  That means the Bob Huggins era begins for men’s basketball with the regular-season tipoff against William & Mary at 1 p.m., in Bramlage Coliseum.

The east and west parking lots surrounding Bill Snyder Family Stadium and Bramlage Coliseum are reserved for donors to the Ahearn Scholarship Fund.  Those holding football parking passes will be admitted into those lots and allowed to park in their reserved or VIP space as is the normal custom for a football game.  The parking lots will open at 10:30 a.m., prior to the men’s basketball game.

Fans attending the basketball game who don’t hold football parking passes but display their basketball season parking passes may park in the grass lot east of Bill Snyder Family Stadium or in the paved lot of the Peters Recreation Center for $5 on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those without football or basketball parking passes may park in the grass lot or Peters Recreation Center for $10 as is customary for home football games.
