Kansas State, currently atop the Big 12 North standings with two games remaining, wraps up the 2009 home slate on Saturday as the Missouri Tigers visit Bill Snyder Family Stadium for Senior Day.

The game, which kicks at 11:30 a.m., will be televised nationally by VERSUS as Ron Thulin (play-by-play), Kelly Stouffer (analyst) and Lindsay Soto (sideline) will have the call. A live audio broadcast is also available across the K-State Sports Network, online at www.k-statesports.com and on SIRIUS satellite radio channel 127 and XM channel 103.

K-State is 5-0 at Bill Snyder Family Stadium in 2009 heading into Saturday’s matchup and will look to finish the season undefeated at home for the first time since 1999. To do so, K-State will need to snap a three-game skid against Missouri as the Tigers lead the all-time series, 58-31-5. However, head coach Bill Snyder is 14-3 against the Tigers and has won 13 straight and 14-of-15 in the series.

Coming off a 17-10 win over rival Kansas last week, K-State remains in first place in the Big 12 North with two games remaining and is one win away from becoming bowl-eligible.

The Wildcat offense continues to grind out numbers on the ground behind All-Big 12 candidate Daniel Thomas at running back. Thomas, the Big 12’s leading rusher, became the ninth player in school history to eclipse the 1,000-yard rushing mark in a season following his 185-yard performance last week against Kansas. Quarterback Grant Gregory continues to provide leadership in the huddle as the Wildcats are 4-2 since the sixth-year senior became the starter. Kick returner Brandon Banks has put together an All-America-caliber season with an NCAA-leading four returns for touchdowns.

The Wildcat defense has put up solid numbers this season, especially in the Wildcats’ five games at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. So far in five home games, K-State has yielded just 10.8 points, 39.6 yards rushing and 233.0 total yards a game in five wins. The Wildcats also have collected 16 sacks, 32 tackles for loss and 16 takeaways at home this season. Jeffrey Fitzgerald has been a force up front defensively with his 6.0 sacks, while Emmanuel Lamur leads the squad in tackles with 51. Tysyn Hartman continues to put up All-Big 12-like numbers as he has collected 50 tackles, six pass breakups and four interceptions on the season.
