Wildcat Classics Collection Now Available

MANHATTAN, Kan. - With the holiday season rapidly approaching, K-State Athletics announced Wednesday that the first volume of the Wildcat Football Classic DVD Collection is now on sale.

Through this DVD set, fans can experience the greatest games in K-State football history beginning with the first release in the Wildcat Classic Collection Series, Football Volume I. The set includes four thrilling games for the first time all in one collection.

The volume, which was carefully selected by a 20-member K-State football expert panel, features four games from the Bill Snyder era, beginning with the thrilling 23-20 win at Texas A&M in 1996, followed by the return visit in Manhattan in 1997, when the Wildcats dominated the No. 14 Aggies in a 36-17 victory.

The final two games come from the later stages of the Bill Snyder era; the exciting finish to the 2002 season with the 34-27 win over Arizona State in the Holiday Bowl, and then - perhaps the greatest game in school history - the 2003 Big 12 Championship game against No. 1 Oklahoma, a 35-7 romp that gave the Wildcats their first Big 12 title.

Priced at $29.99, the Wildcat Classics Collection: Football Volume I can be purchased online at k-statesports.com via the DVD store. The store also includes the first two releases in the Special Wildcat Classic Director's Cut series, the 1998 K-State win over Nebraska and the 1989 victory over North Texas.

Fans can purchase the Tradition of Champions: History of K-State Basketball via the online store as well.

K-State wraps up the home portion of the 2009 schedule this Saturday against Missouri in a nationally-televised matchup on VERSUS. Kickoff is set for 11:30 a.m., and great seats still remain for the contest, including Family Four-Packs for $99.

The most convenient way to order tickets is online at www.k-statesports.com, while they may also be purchased at the K-State Athletic Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum or by calling (785) 532-7606.
