K-State Hosts Cyclones on Senior Day

Kansas State concludes the 2008 season on Saturday at home against Iowa State as 20 seniors will play their final game as Wildcats. Kickoff is set for 2:35 p.m. inside Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

The game will be televised by Fox College Sports and will also air across the Kansas State Sports Network, online at k-statesports.com and on SIRIUS satellite radio (channel 130). Wyatt Thompson (play-by-play), Stan Weber (analyst) and Matt Walters (sideline) will have the call. The broadcast team for FCS will be Kevin Eschenfelder (play-by-play) and Richard Baldinger (analyst).

A Quick Look at the Wildcats
Kansas State is looking to snap a five-game losing streak and send the 2008 senior class out on a winning notes Saturday afternoon against the Cyclones.

Quarterback Josh Freeman has already become the school’s all-time leader in pass attempts, completions, passing yards and touchdown passes this season, and also became the school’s career total offense leader, and will look to close out the season on a positive note on Saturday.

Brandon Banks has been the Wildcats’ top receiving threat this season and should contend for Big 12 Newcomer of the Year honors as the junior has already recorded the second-most receiving yards in a season by a K-State junior and needs just 75 more yards to set Quincy Morgan’s junior record and 67 yards to become the second junior and 23rd Wildcat ever to record 1,000 yards in a career. He would also be the sixth receiver to surpass 1,000 yards in a season.
