Head Coach Bill Snyder
On the improvement of Chris Harper from last year...
"Well I think he is a little bit more experienced at the position that he is playing now. I think he has taken on a new mental approach to what he is doing, what he is capable of doing and how he goes about doing it, but he is a good athlete."

On Chris Harper moving into a reliable role...
"I think the same thing has occurred. He is just more experienced at playing a position that he really was, I will not say uncomfortable with, but one that he is not accustomed to. It is just gaining experience I think."

On the team's Tuesday schedule...
"Our players and coaches are doing the same thing that they do every day. The players met this morning with some of the special teams and had meetings with the position coaches. We viewed yesterday's practice. They just had a lunch break. Later this afternoon, they will meet again for special teams, group meetings, and we will practice this afternoon."

On yesterday's practice...
"I was pleased with the approach and attitude of our players and the willingness to work. It is a hard task considering the fact that at 18 years old, you kind of view the upcoming ballgame as eons away. Our emphasis is to try and improve ourselves. It is not geared right now on Iowa State - a great deal of it is but not all of it, and it is just improving some of the issues that we came across last week, and some that have been ongoing for a period of time. It is just trying to work on fundamentals, approach to practice, execution, and a variety of different things. I thought that they put the effort into it yesterday."

On taking time off for Thanksgiving...
"The players will come back and practice tomorrow morning. They will be off after tomorrow morning's practice and will be back Sunday. So they get reasonably substantial time considering that we have another ballgame coming up pretty quickly."

On not having Collin Klein able to practice...
"I think that it is probably good for our offense. Players have to have a sensitivity to being able to hold up their own responsibilities, and be able to provide their own self leadership, self motivation. So from that standpoint, I think it is very good. Collin's standpoint is very diligent about taking the mental reps. It does not mean that there are things that he cannot do. He stays into it very thoroughly."

On the Thanksgiving break...
"They need to see their family. They have been away from their family for a long time, and they need that opportunity. It is not a matter of whether it is a distraction or not. It is just something that is necessary and needs to take place."

On how much John Hubert has meant to this team...
"I am proud of what John has done. He is a tough-minded young guy and plays aggressively, and really is a far more physical player than his size would indicate. Sometimes that happens when you are built low to the ground. He has good lower-body strength, so he gets leverage on bigger more physical players and just keeps his legs going."

On what he is thankful for...
"I have an appreciation for a lot of people, and certainly for our players and our players' families who certainly make a contribution as well, and our coaches and the coaches' families. They have sacrifices that they have to make in terms of time, their husbands, and their fathers being away from them. We have a lot of people in this arena here who really do not get the notoriety that they deserve because a lot of people invest a lot of time, a lot of effort, and lot of a caring attitude that assists the young people in our program immensely, and do it because they want to and truly care to. You know, things do not run the way they should if you do not have those types of people in your program. We are all blessed and fortunate to have the people around us that we do."

Quarterback Collin Klein
On having a Thanksgiving break...
"I am really looking forward to it. We have had a long run here, but we all need to get a little rest. It will be a good breath of fresh air. The season is not over, so I think the break will be good, but we need to realize that we still have work to do to finish this thing out and get some momentum to go into bowl preparation."

On not practicing the past couple weeks...
"They have been resting me a little bit, but again, I have been locked in and I will be ready to go."

On his practice participation after Thanksgiving break...
"It is a little bit of a day-to-day thing, the training staff is working with me and I am trying to take it day by day and just do the right thing. It is a day-to-day process, so we will see."

On the possibility of winning a share of the Big 12 title...
"That it is little bit out of our control. There is nothing that we can do except make sure that we take care of business a week from this Saturday. That is all that we can do, to do our part. Again, it is just that whole mentality of making sure that we just keep getting better. We still have some things to correct, we are still growing and we just have to keep it up."

Linebacker Arthur Brown
On having a break for Thanksgiving...
"A lot of players are definitely appreciative of it. We feel like we deserve a little break after the work that we have put in. It is definitely something to look forward to."

On the team's success so far this season...
"I am definitely thankful for it. I understand where we are and I recognized the opportunities that lay before us. It all comes down to taking care of business each week."

On the opportunities left for K-State...
"There is a lot to play for and there are a lot of opportunities that lay before us. Coach Snyder has indicated to us that we are playing to be one of the few teams in K-State history to win 11 games and that would be a great honor. Just to be a part of this team - a team that works hard and understands that it is not about any individual, it is about the team, it is just great to be a part of."

On believing in the team before the start of the season...
"Indeed, I did. Just seeing everyone come together in the summer and throughout the course of the spring, we were able to see that there was going to be a great opportunity to put it out and display it on the field on Saturdays."

Defensive Back Tysyn Hartman
On his assessment of the team so far...
"I am proud of our guys. We are guys that come to work week in and week out. It is kind of that mentality that Coach Snyder has put into us, but it has definitely played out well and we are successful because of it. But it will be nice to get a bye week and get back home to see our families during the break."

On the toughness of this year's schedule...
"It is tough but it is no different than anyone else in our conference has seen. It is a tough nine-game schedule but we knew that coming into the season. It helped knowing that it was going to be tough before the season and knowing what we were getting ourselves into but we have done a good job grinding it out and being successful in the process."

On having a bye week...
"It is key. Anytime you have a bye week it is nice to get guys healthy as well as having an extra week to prepare for an opponent. This week is no different."

Wide Receiver Curry Sexton
On this season's success...
"We have a lot of opportunities still ahead of us. Coming into the season, no one really knew what to expect, but I think things have gone really well. Some teams, at this point in time, their season is over. They might have a couple days of practice and one game left. We are just happy to be in the position that we are in. We are all thankful for the guys on the team and the coaches on the staff that have put in the work to get us to where we are. It is just a credit to this entire team and the entire program. We are just thankful for where we are sitting right now."

On Iowa State's upset of No. 2 Oklahoma State...
"We got to watch most of it in the hotel on Friday night. That is just the Big 12. Iowa State is a team that has been known to cause an upset or two throughout the years. Two years ago, they beat Nebraska on the road and last year they went to Texas and got a win. Coach Rhodes and his staff do a great job preparing their kids. I have not played at Iowa State yet, but the coaches say that it is a tough place to play and with the stuff that Oklahoma State was going through, I think everything set up for Iowa State and they went out and played well. Iowa State is a good football team, there is no doubting that. In the Big 12, anything can happen on any given Saturday and that is what our coaches tell us. You cannot overlook anyone, you have to go out and you have to earn each victory."
