K-State in the NFL - Week 14

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Each week throughout the 2014 season, k-statesports.com will highlight former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.


Arthur Brown, LB - Baltimore Ravens
Brown, a second-round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, played in Baltimore's 28-13 win at Miami on Sunday but did not record any statistics. Brown has played in three games this season for the 8-5 Ravens.

Bryce Brown, RB - Buffalo Bills
A seventh-round pick in 2012 by Philadelphia who was traded to Buffalo in the offseason, Brown rushed three times for 11 yards and caught two passes for 14 yards in the Bills' 24-17 loss at Denver on Sunday. Brown pushed his season rushing total to 106 yards on 31 attempts, while he has also hauled in nine receptions for 71 yards. Buffalo fell to 7-6 with the loss.

Jeromey Clary, OL - San Diego Chargers
Clary, an eighth-year offensive lineman for San Diego, remains on the Chargers' physically unable to perform list. San Diego fell at home to New England, 23-14, to drop to 8-5.
 
Zac Diles, LB - Cleveland Browns
Diles made one special teams tackle in his third game with Cleveland, a 25-24 Browns loss to Indianapolis on Sunday. Diles, who has also played for Houston this year, and the Browns fell to 7-6.

Emmanuel Lamur, LB - Cincinnati Bengals
Lamur, an undrafted rookie free agent signee in 2012, came away with four tackles in Cincinnati's 42-21 loss against Pittsburgh on Sunday. The starting strongside linebacker now has 88 stops this season to go along with seven passes defended and two interceptions. Despite the loss, the Bengals still lead the AFC North by a half game with an 8-4-1 record.

Cornelius Lucas, OL - Detroit Lions
An undrafted rookie free agent offensive lineman, Lucas played in Detroit's 34-17 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday. He has played in 12 games this year - including one start - for the Lions, who improved to 9-4 with the win.

Jordy Nelson, WR - Green Bay Packers
Nelson, a seventh-year veteran, hauled in eight receptions for 146 yards and two touchdowns - including a 60-yard strike - in Green Bay's 43-37 Monday night home win over Atlanta. A career 54-game starter, Nelson has topped the 1,000-yard mark for the third time in his career, including a second straight season, as he has 78 receptions for 1,265 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2014. He is tied for the league lead in touchdowns, ranks fifth in yards and eighth in receptions. In his seven-year career, Nelson has 380 receptions for 5,855 yards and 48 touchdowns. The Packers lead the NFC North at 10-3.

Terence Newman, CB - Cincinnati Bengals
Newman, a 12-year NFL veteran, made his 171st career start in Cincinnati's 42-21 home loss to Pittsburgh on Sunday. The cornerback recorded seven tackles and a pair of pass breakups. Newman now has 736 career tackles and 147 career passes defended, including season totals of 67 and 14, respectively. The Bengals still hold a slim lead in the AFC North with an 8-4-1 record.

Tavon Rooks, OL - New Orleans Saints
A sixth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Rooks is on the New Orleans Saints' practice squad. The Saints lost at home to Carolina on Sunday, 41-10, to fall to 5-8 this season.

Darren Sproles, RB/Returner - Philadelphia Eagles
Sproles, a 10th-year pro, was bottled up in Philadelphia's 24-14 home loss to Seattle on Sunday. The running back was held to zero yards on four rushing attempts and was tackled immediately after receiving a punt. Traded to the Eagles from the Saints in the offseason, Sproles has 295 rushing yards and five touchdowns, 313 receiving yards and a 14.1-yard average on punt returns. He has also racked up 16,607 career all-purpose yards to rank 16th in NFL history. The Eagles fell to 9-4 and are tied for the NFC East lead.

Daniel Thomas, RB - Miami Dolphins
Thomas, a 2011 draft pick by Miami who was cut and then resigned by the Dolphins this year, played in Miami's 28-13 setback at Baltimore on Sunday but did not record any statistics. In 10 games this year, the fourth-year back has 162 rushing yards on 41 carries and 100 receiving yards on 10 catches for the 7-6 Dolphins.

Justin Tuggle, LB - Houston Texans
Tuggle, a second-year linebacker, played in Houston's 27-13 win at Jacksonville on Sunday but did not record any statistics. In 13 games this season, the former undrafted rookie free agent has 38 tackles to improve his two-year career total to 52. The Texans are now 7-6.

Reggie Walker, LB - San Diego Chargers
Walker, a sixth-year pro, played in San Diego's 23-14 home loss to New England on Sunday but did not record any statistics. In his second season in San Diego, Walker has 12 tackles for the 8-5 Chargers.

Ty Zimmerman, S - New Orleans Saints
Zimmerman, an undrafted rookie free agent signee by the New Orleans Saints, is on injured reserve for the 2014 season. New Orleans fell at home to Carolina on Sunday, 41-10, as it dropped to 5-8 on the year.
