Kansas State Bowl Tickets Nearly Sold Out

MANHATTAN, Kan. Kansas State has sold more than 10,300 of its allotment of tickets to the Texas Bowl and athletics officials are anticipating a sea of purple in Houston when the Wildcats take on No. 16 Rutgers in the December 28 game.

Robin Fosha, director of ticket operations, said K-State has about 200 tickets remaining from the approximately 10,500 it was allocated in Reliant Stadium, home of the NFL’s Houston Texans.  Those tickets are located in the stadium’s lower level south end zone sections priced at $25.

The easiest method to order tickets is online at www.k-statesports.com, clicking on the bowl information tab and selecting “Buy Bowl Tickets.”  Fans may also order in person at the K-State Athletic Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum or by calling 1-800-221-CATS.

Director of Athletics Tim Weiser said in addition to the tickets sold through K-State it appears many Wildcat fans have purchased tickets through the Texas Bowl and other outlets.

“We’re anticipating a great turnout,” Weiser said.  “It’s just another example of the loyalty and passion of our fans.”

K-State has participated three times in bowl games played in the state of Texas.  Each time, estimated attendance of Wildcat fans has been at least 35,000.

According to Fosha, tickets ordered through K-State will be sent by a priority delivery service by the end of this week.
