K-State Fiesta Bowl Pep Rally Scheduled in Tempe

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- K-State fans will have the chance to cheer on the football team at what has become one of the favorite K-State bowl traditions. The K-State bowl pep rally will be Thursday, Jan. 1. 


The pep rally will be at the Wells Fargo Arena located on the Arizona State campus next to the Sun Devil Stadium. Doors will open at 3 p.m. with concessions and K-State and bowl merchandise available from Cats Closet. The actual pep rally program will begin at 3:45 p.m.


“The pep rally is always a great way for fans to show their support for the football team,” said Amy Button Renz, K-State Alumni Association president.


            Those attending the pep rally will receive a free K-State commemorative Tostitos Fiesta Bowl button while supplies last. The pep rally is a free event and will be open to the public.


            The football team and coaches will be at the pep rally, as well as K-State President Jon Wefald and other university dignitaries. The K-State Marching Band and cheerleaders also will perform for the crowd.


             The pep rally is sponsored by the K-State Alumni Association and the K-State Athletics Department.
