MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-Staters have stepped up and responded quickly once again to new football ticket options for 2012 by snapping up all the specially priced $102 season tickets put on sale.

Since Thursday of last week, all 2,100 tickets located in sections 420, 421, 422, 428, 429 and 430 that were available for this promotion were sold.

“As they have shown time after time, I want to give credit to the K-State Nation for stepping up with tremendous support of Wildcat student-athletes.” said Athletics Director John Currie. “It is exciting to report that the majority of these tickets have been purchased by first-time season ticket customers. I truly believe that the term 'grass-roots support' is evidenced at K-State as well as any school in the country. This provides significant momentum to achieve a ‘sold-out’ home season in 2012 and represents affordability for our fans in an area of the stadium that features new amenities such as restrooms and upgraded concessions.”

Also, 2011 season ticket holders who purchased view level seats in 420 and 430 can still renew their location for 2012 at $102 by calling the ticket office before January 6.

Pledge season ticket holders who reached the attendance requirement for renewal will be sent a $102 renewal for their current seats in March. All other season ticket holders will be sent a renewal notice in March.

Fans interested in acquiring new season tickets in a bench/sideline section may contact the ticket office to be placed on the notification list and will be contacted when season tickets go on sale in March.

Visit the K-State Athletics Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum, call the ticket office at 1-800-221-CATS or visit the official athletics website at k-statesports.com for more information or to purchase tickets.

Led by 2011 National and Big 12 Coach of the Year Bill Snyder, record-setting quarterback Collin Klein, Defensive Newcomer of the Year Arthur Brown and Offensive Freshman of the Year Tyler Lockett, the Wildcats are looking to replicate their success from this season during the 2012 campaign. The Wildcats are slated to return their top three rushers, top four receivers and five defensive players that have recorded at least 50 tackles in 2011.

The 2012 football schedule, full ticket pricing and renewal information for other 2012 football ticket locations will be available this spring.
