K-State in the NFL - Week 16

MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Each week throughout the 2014 season, k-statesports.com will highlight former Kansas State football players currently in the NFL.

Arthur Brown, LB - Baltimore Ravens
Brown, a second-round selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, was inactive for Baltimore's 25-13 loss at Houston on Sunday. Brown has played in three games this season for the 9-6 Ravens, who are third in the AFC North.

Bryce Brown, RB - Buffalo Bills
A seventh-round pick in 2012 by Philadelphia who was traded to Buffalo in the offseason, Brown was inactive for the Bills' 26-24 loss at Oakland on Sunday. In seven games this year, Brown has 126 rushing yards on 36 attempts, while he has hauled in 16 receptions for 176 yards. Buffalo is tied for second in the AFC East at 8-7.

Jeromey Clary, OL - San Diego Chargers
Clary, an eighth-year offensive lineman for San Diego, remains on the Chargers' physically unable to perform list. San Diego won an overtime game, 38-35, Saturday night at San Francisco to improve to 9-6.
Chris Harper, WR - New York Giants
Harper, a 2013 draft pick by the Seattle Seahawks, is on the practice squad for the New York Giants. The Giants won at St. Louis, 37-27, Sunday to improve to 6-9.

Emmanuel Lamur, LB - Cincinnati Bengals
An undrafted rookie free agent signee in 2012, Lamur was inactive for Cincinnati's 37-28 Monday night victory over Denver. A 13-game starter in 2014, the linebacker has 89 tackles this season to go along with seven passes defended and two interceptions. The Bengals hold a half game lead in the AFC North with a 10-4-1 record.

Cornelius Lucas, OL - Detroit Lions
An undrafted rookie free agent offensive lineman, Lucas made his second start of the season - this time at right tackle - in Detroit's 20-14 win at Chicago on Sunday. Lucas has played in 14 games this year for the Lions, who are tied with Green Bay for the top mark in the NFC North at 11-4. The Lions and Packers play for the division title next Sunday in Green Bay.

Jordy Nelson, WR - Green Bay Packers
Nelson, a seventh-year veteran, hauled in nine receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown Green Bay's 20-3 win at Tampa Bay on Sunday. A career 56-game starter, Nelson carded his seventh 100-yard game of the season as he now has career highs in receptions (92) and yards (1,433), while he has 13 touchdowns in 2014, just two shy of his career high. He ranks second in the league in touchdowns, fourth in yards and tied for seventh in receptions. In his seven-year career, Nelson has 394 receptions for 6,023 yards and 49 touchdowns. The victory set up a winner-take-all game against Detroit for the NFC North division as both teams are 11-4 entering next week's game in Green Bay.

Terence Newman, CB - Cincinnati Bengals
Newman, a 12-year NFL veteran, came away with seven tackles and a pass breakup in Cincinnati's 37-28 home win over Denver on Monday night. A career 172 game starter, the cornerback has 743 career tackles and 148 career passes defended, including season totals of 74 and 15, respectively. The Bengals hold a half game lead in the AFC North at 10-4-1.

Tavon Rooks, OL - New Orleans Saints
A sixth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Rooks is on the New Orleans Saints' practice squad. The Saints fell at home to Atlanta on Sunday, 30-14, to drop to 6-9.

Darren Sproles, RB/Returner - Philadelphia Eagles
Sproles, a 10th-year pro, tallied 77 all-purpose yards Philadelphia's 27-24 loss at Washington on Saturday. The running back carded 24 rushing yards on four carries, 43 yards on six catches as well as 10 yards on punt returns. Traded to the Eagles from the Saints in the offseason, Sproles has 324 rushing yards and five touchdowns, 364 receiving yards and a 13.3-yard average on punt returns. He has also racked up 16,698 career all-purpose yards to rank 16th in NFL history. The Eagles dropped to 9-6 and sit in second place in the NFC East.

Daniel Thomas, RB - Miami Dolphins
Thomas, a 2011 draft pick by Miami who was cut and then resigned by the Dolphins this year, was inactive for Miami's 37-35 home win over Minnesota on Sunday. In 11 games this year, the fourth-year back has 167 rushing yards on 43 carries and 120 receiving yards on 12 catches for the 8-7 Dolphins.

Justin Tuggle, LB - Houston Texans
Tuggle, a second-year linebacker, played in Houston's 25-13 victory over Baltimore on Sunday but did not record any statistics. In 15 games this season, the former undrafted rookie free agent has 38 tackles to improve his two-year career total to 52. The Texans are now 8-7.

Reggie Walker, LB - San Diego Chargers
Walker, a sixth-year pro, played in San Diego's 38-35 overtime victory at San Francisco on Saturday but did not record any statistics. In his second season in San Diego, Walker has 12 tackles for the 9-6 Chargers, who are second in the AFC West.

Ty Zimmerman, S - New Orleans Saints
Zimmerman, an undrafted rookie free agent signee by the New Orleans Saints, is on injured reserve for the 2014 season. New Orleans fell at home to Atlanta on Sunday, 30-14, to see its record drop to 6-9.
