Desert Collegiate Rd 2 Results Get Acrobat Reader

PALM DESERT, Calif. - The Kansas State men's golf team carded a 7-over 295 Saturday in the second round of the 2014 Wyoming Desert Collegiate at the par-72, 7,305-yard The Classic Club and will enter Sunday's final round in 14th place at 10-over par 586.

"I thought the hole locations today were going to be the most difficult of the three days, so the scores were a little higher than yesterday," said head coach Tim Norris. "I thought we had some solid rounds today and I am hoping for four solid scores tomorrow."

For the second day in a row, Daniel Wood led the Wildcats' scoring attack as he fired an even-par 72 and is currently tied for 18th place at 3-under 141.

Playing as an individual, Connor Knabe will head into the final round of play tied for 50th place at 2-over 146. David Klaudt and Seth Smith finished Saturday's action tied for 59th and 67th place, respectively, while Kyle Weldon (T94th) and Alex Carney (T119th) rounded out the K-State scoring lineup on Saturday.
