FRESNO, Calif. -- The Kansas State men's golf team remained consistent on Tuesday to finish in 10th place at the Fresno State Lexus Classic at the par 72, 6,765-yard Fort Washington Country Club.

The Wildcats shot 32-over par on the day, carding a third round total of 392 to end at a 45-over par 1,125.

"We finished up today -- pretty wicked weather wise. They were significantly different conditions," head coach Tim Norris said. "I thought our guys played hard and put in a lot of effort. The execution was just not there on many occasions. You had some 30 mile per hour winds, so you had to be on the top of your game or it is just going to get away from you."

Curtis Yonke remained high on the leader board, ending the event tied for 14th. He shot a 7-over par 79 on the day, bringing his two-day total to a 3-over par 219.

"Curtis had a pretty solid tournament. I know he was anxious today, but he did not come up with the shots he quite needed. He birdied the last hole like a champion, so I still feel like he is turning in the right direction," Norris said.

The Wildcats' Kyle Smell carded a 5-over par 77 in the final round, ending with 8-over par 224 to tie for 41st place. One stroke behind, Kyle Weldon ended tied for 47th. He notched a 5-over par 77 during the final round to bring his score to a 9-over par 225 throughout two days.

David Klaudt brought his score to an 11-over par 227 on the event, shooting a 7-over par 79 during the third round. Klaudt ended the event tied for 58th place. Alex Carney moved nine spots up the leader board, ending with a 20-over par 236. He shot an 8-over par 80 in the final round.

K-State's Tyler Norris ended the event with a 21-over par 237, finishing in 85th place.

Oregon State clenched its first Classic title, shooting a 7-over par 1,087 throughout the two-day event. San Diego's Alex Ching tallied a 3-under par 69 third round, bringing his total score to a 7-under par 209 to finish atop the individuals.

The Wildcats will be back in action March 22-24 as they travel to the Palm Valley Golf Course in Goodyear, Ariz. to compete in the three-day Desert Shootout event.
