MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Three members of the Kansas State men's golf team were named to the 2015 Academic All-Big 12 teams, as announced by the conference office on Friday afternoon. Sophomore Connor Knabe was named to the first team, while fellow sophomores Matt Green and Seth Smith were named to the second team.

"I am very proud of these three and am glad to see them recognized for their efforts both on and off the course," said head coach Grant Robbins. "Both have a great work ethic and possess qualities that will enable them to be successful in whatever they do."

All three individuals were named to the academic all-conference teams in their first seasons being eligible for the honor. Knabe has competed in all nine events for the Wildcats this season with his best finish coming in the Bill Ross Invitational, where he tied for fourth place. The Leawood, Kansas, native is currently working to obtain a degree in business.
