Four Wildcats on Academic All-Big 12 Team

MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State men's golf team placed four members on the Academic All-Big 12 Team, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Jason Schulte (Marketing and Spanish) placed on the first team for the second-consecutive year. Schulte has competed in eight events during the season and has a stroke average of 76.35.

Seniors Mitchell Gregson (Management), Joe Ida (Management) and Joe Kinney (Marketing) all placed on the second team. All three seniors have played in all of the Wildcat's 10 events this season. Gregson and Ida have now placed on the Academic All-Big 12 team three times, while it was the second honor for Kinney.

To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of his team's scheduled contests.

The Wildcats will compete at Big 12 Championship, April 23-25, in Trinity, Texas.
