Trio of Cats to Compete in Watson Challenge

MANHATTAN, Kan. Kansas State golfers Kyle Smell and Jason Schulte will compete in the Tom Watson Challenge, Saturday, June 13, through Monday, June 15, at the par 72, 7,051-yard Shadow Glen Golf Club in Olathe, Kan.

 

Smell and Schulte will be joined by former Wildcat Kyle Yonke, who is coming off a victory at the Kansas Four-Ball Championship last week in Lawrence.

 

Yonke will tee off at 8:10 a.m. Saturday morning with University of Kansas golfer Patrick Roth and Chris Mabry of the Gateway Tour.

 

Smell starts at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning with Matt Murdoch and David Jenkins of the Adams Tight Lies Tour, while Schulte tees off at 9:50 a.m. with Rick Schultz and Mike Boring.

 

Pairings for Sunday and Monday will be determined by Saturday's scores.
