Gregson Named Big 12 Golfer of the Month

MANHATTAN, Kan. Wildcat golfer Mitchell Gregson was named co-Big 12 Golfer of the Month after very impressive performances in all three tournaments in October.

At the Santa Clara Invitational, Gregson tallied two sub-70 rounds to win the event with a 12-under score of 201, his second individual title of year. He tied the Silver Valley Creek Country Club 54-hole score as he carded the second-lowest round in school history.

His contributions throughout the month helped lead K-State to three top-five finishes during the month at the Wolf Pack Classic in Louisville Kentucky, the Santa Clara Invitational, and the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate. The Wildcats have placed fourth or higher in the first five tournaments of the season.

This is the first time that Gregson has won golfer of the month in his career. Oklahoma’s Riley Pumphery tied with Gregson for the monthly award.
