K-State Ranked in This Week's AP Poll

MANHATTAN, Kan. For the first time this season, Kansas State women’s basketball is ranked in the Associated Press weekly top-25 women’s basketball poll. The Wildcats enter at No. 22 with 161 points.


This is K-State’s first appearance in the AP poll since Jan. 15, 2007 when they were ranked 25th. The Wildcats are currently on a seven-game winning streak and own an 11-game home court winning streak.


The Wildcats received 41 points in last week’s AP poll after defeating then-No. 13 Texas A&M and then-No. 15 Texas on the road.


Other Big 12 schools in this week’s rankings include No. 6 Baylor, No. 11 Oklahoma, No. 14 Oklahoma State and No. 21 Texas A&M. Just outside the poll this week were Texas with 32 points, Nebraska with 17 points, Colorado with two points and Iowa State with one point.
