K-State Women Place Entire Team on Honor Roll

MANHATTAN, Kan. The No. 22 Kansas State women’s basketball team has succeeded on the court and in the classroom this season, as all 11 members of the squad were named to the Fall 2007 Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. They are the only women’s basketball team in the Big 12 to place its entire squad on the honor roll.

Student-athletes who reached the honor roll with a 4.0 GPA for the fall semester were: sophomore Kari Kincaid, junior Shalee Lehning, senior Carolyn McCullough and junior Danielle Zanotti. A season ago, Lehning, McCullough and Zanotti were each selected to the 2006-07 Academic All-Big 12 first team for their work in the classroom.

In addition to earning a 4.0 GPA in the first semester, McCullough received the Outstanding Senior Award for Communication Sciences and Disorders for Fall 2007. The native of Stilwell, Kan., was a 2006-07 Academic All-Big 12 first team selection and was one of just four players in the conference to be selected with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

K-State currently owns a seven-game winning streak on the court and the first 4-0 start in Big 12 play since the 2003-04 season. The Wildcats conclude a three-game homestand tonight against Iowa State at 7 p.m. For ticket information, please call (800) 221-CATS or visit www.kstatesports.com.
