Cats to Celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day

MANHATTAN, Kan. - On Wednesday, Feb. 9 prior to and during the Kansas State women's basketball game against Texas, the Kansas State athletic department will celebrate the 25th anniversary of National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

K-State will provide any girl age 14 and under that is wearing a team shirt or jersey with a free general admission ticket to the game between the Wildcats and Longhorns. Beginning at 6 p.m., there will be a meet and greet, as well as demonstrations on the Bramlage Coliseum concourse by the women's track and cross country teams, the women's golf team, equestrian, rowing and volleyball.

Tickets for Wednesday night's contest between K-State and Texas can be purchased through the K-State Athletic Ticket Office. Chairback seats are available for $12, while reserved bench seating is $9, general admission is $8 and general admission youth tickets are $5.
