K-State Unveils WBB Ticket Promotions for 2014-15

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State Athletics announced on Tuesday a number of single game ticket promotions for the 19 women’s basketball games in Bramlage Coliseum for the 2014-15 season. All individual game tickets will be available through the K-State Athletics Ticket Office (800-221-CATS, www.kstatesports.com) beginning Monday, Oct. 13, at 8:30 a.m.

For the second year, K-State women’s basketball will be offering specific benefits for each game exclusively to Chairback season ticket holders. Included in the ticket book will be coupons for each home game redeemable at Bramlage Coliseum for 19 specific benefits including free parking, free and discounted concession items, exclusive invitations and more.

K-State will offer a “5-game mini-plan” of five Big 12 games this season. The mini-plan is just $20 for general admission tickets for the following games: Tuesday, Jan. 6 against Baylor, Wednesday, Jan. 28 against Oklahoma State, Wednesday, Feb. 4 against Texas, Wednesday, Feb. 11 against TCU and Tuesday, March 3 against West Virginia.

The Wildcats have three home dates this season that feature both a women’s game and a men’s game. On Friday, Nov. 14 (vs. SIUE), the women will host the first game of a doubleheader starting at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available by purchasing a ticket to the men’s game that night. Tickets for the Nov. 14 doubleheader start at $10. Halftime of K-State’s season-opener against SIUE, will feature a special performance by Peter Rabbit, a world renowned bucket drummer who has performed at halftime of a number of NBA and NCAA games.

On Sunday, Dec. 14, the women will host Oral Roberts at 1 p.m. Tickets for the women’s game are only $3 with a ticket to the men’s game against Savannah State later that day.

Youth teams and campers are invited to attend any of the four “Youth Team/Camper Nights” as a group free of charge. The dates this season are: Tuesday, Nov. 18, against UMKC; Sunday, Dec. 14 against Oral Roberts; Wednesday, Feb. 11, against TCU; and Saturday, Feb. 21, against Oklahoma. Prices for single game tickets this season are: $5 for general admission youth, $8 general admission adult, $9 for reserved bench/cushion seating and $12 for chairback. Members of the military may purchase single game tickets for just $5 when they present a valid military ID. Kansas State finished the 2013-14 season ranked 23rd in the nation in average attendance with 4,484 fans per game coming through the turnstiles. It was the 11th time in the last 13 seasons that K-State has finished among the top-35 in the nation in average attendance. The Wildcats had the fourth largest improvement in attendance in NCAA Division I last season with an increase in its average of 1,200 per game.

Under new head coach Jeff Mittie, Kansas State will feature a roster of 10 returning letter winners and four newcomers. The Wildcats will be paced in the 2014-15 season by seniors Ashia Woods and Haley Texada and sophomores Breanna Lewis and Kindred Wesemann.
