K-State Announces 2014-15 WBB TV Schedule

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State Athletics announced on Wednesday the entire home schedule for K-State women’s basketball will be broadcast for the fourth straight season. The televised games will be available on either FOX Sports, FOX Sports Midwest, FOX Sports Kansas City, Cox Cable, Time Warner Sports Channel or K-StateHD.TV.

The Wildcats will make two appearances on national television this season, with both games broadcast by the FOX Sports Networks. K-State’s Sunflower Showdown game against KU will be broadcast to a national audience from Bramlage Coliseum on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 1 p.m.

K-State’s second national television appearance will be on FSN on Sunday, Feb. 15 at 1 p.m., against Texas Tech in Bramlage.

K-State will play four games this season on FOX Sports Kansas City and produced by K-StateHD.TV, with the first broadcast coming on Monday, Dec. 22 against Abilene Christian on FOX Sports Kansas City. Additional games for FOX Sports Kansas City this season include: Tuesday, Jan. 6 against Baylor at 7 p.m., and Tuesday, March 3 against West Virginia at 7 p.m. The games on FOX Sports Kansas City can be seen in Kansas and the Kansas City-area.

K-State will also play one game this season on FOX Sports Midwest and produced by K-StateHD.TV. The Wildcats will host Texas on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. Games on FOX Sports Midwest can be seen throughout Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois and Indiana.

The Wildcats will have five games broadcast by FOX College Sports and produced by K-StateHD.TV this season, which will be available to a national audience on cable and satellite packages. The first game to air on FOX College Sports will be Tuesday, Nov. 18 against UMKC at 7 p.m., and will air on FOX College Sports Atlantic.

The remaining four games are on FOX College Sports Central and are: Sunday, Dec. 4 against UT-Arlington at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 20 against Grambling State at 1 p.m.; Saturday, Jan. 17 against Iowa State at 7 p.m.; and Wednesday, Feb. 11 against TCU at 7 p.m.

K-State will play two games on Cox Channel/Time Warner Sports Channel this season. The games on Cox Channel/Time Warner Sports Channel this season are the second exhibition game against Newman on Monday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 21 against Oklahoma at 7 p.m. The games are available to Cox Cable subscribers within the state of Kansas and to Time Warner Cable subscribers in the Kansas City metro area.

The Wildcats will also play three games on COX Channel 22 or COX Xtra. The exhibition opener against Emporia State on Monday, Nov. 3 at 7 p.m., is slated for COX Channel 22 and will be produced by K-StateHD.TV. A pair of games will be shown on COX Xtra 122 and produced by K-StateHD.TV. The two games are Friday, Nov. 21 against Hampton at 7 p.m., and Wednesday, Jan. 28 against Oklahoma State at 7 p.m.

The Wildcats will also play three games exclusively on K-StateHD.TV in 2014-15, beginning with the exhibition finale against Newman on Monday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. K-StateHD.TV will also broadcast the 2014-15 season opener against Southern Illinois Edwardsville on Nov. 14 at 5:30 p.m., and the match up against Oral Roberts on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m.

K-StateHD.TV will also air K-State Gameday prior to 10 games this season in Bramlage Coliseum. K-State Gameday will air 30 minutes before tip-off on K-StateHD.TV before the following games: Nov. 14 against SIUE, Jan. 6 against Baylor, Jan. 11 against Kansas, Jan. 17 against Iowa State, Jan. 28 against Oklahoma State, Feb. 4 against Texas, Feb. 11 against TCU, Feb. 15 against Texas Tech, Feb. 21 against Oklahoma and March 3 against West Virginia. K-State Gameday will also air on FCS before the Iowa State game on Jan. 17 and the Feb. 11 game against TCU. It will also air on COX Xtra 122 before the Oklahoma State game on Jan. 28.

In addition to the home K-State television selections, the Wildcats will face a number of opponents on the road on television. K-State will face Baylor in Waco on Jan. 24, on FOX Sports Southwest at 11 a.m. K-State will challenge Texas in Austin on the Longhorn Network on Wednesday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m. As opponents determine their third-tier games, additional K-State road games may be televised.

K-State owns a 126-89 (.586) all-time record when playing on television, including a 75-57 mark on the FSN family of networks. Since the start of the 2002-03 season, the Wildcats will have appeared on television at least 185 times.

In head coach Jeff Mittie’s first season at K-State, the Wildcats will feature a roster of 10 returning letter winners and four newcomers. The Wildcats will be paced in the 2014-15 season by seniors Ashia Woods and Haley Texada and sophomores Breanna Lewis and Kindred Wesemann.
