MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State Fan Experience and Sales office announced on Tuesday details for the second year of the “Bramlage Brigade,” the women’s basketball rewards program for current K-State students. The program includes a number of prizes for attendance at women’s basketball home games during the 2011-12 season, including entry into a drawing after attending 13 or more games.

Students can register for the women’s basketball student rewards program at women’s and men’s basketball games at a registration table located at the northeast entrance of Bramlage Coliseum, at one of the five remaining volleyball matches or at the K-State Student Union from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 1 through Thursday, Nov. 3. Students who register for the “Bramlage Brigade” at any of the remaining home volleyball matches, will receive one punch on their card. For every women’s basketball game a student attends, they will receive one punch on their membership card after showing their valid K-State student ID. Students may receive a punch on their card up to 30 minutes after tipoff.

“Bramlage Brigade” members will have the opportunity to earn a number of prizes during the season by hitting certain attendance levels. The first 200 members that attend four games will receive a free long sleeve t-shirt featuring the “Bramlage Brigade” logo. The first 50 members to attend eight games will receive a K-State stocking cap. The final reward for “Bramlage Brigade” members will be a dinner with the women’s basketball team for anyone that attends 12 or more games.

For any “Bramlage Brigade” member attending 13 or more games during the 2011-12 season, they will be entered into a drawing for one of three prizes: a Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship package, American Airlines travel vouchers or an ICAT Student Season Ticket for the 2012-13 athletic season. The final grand prize will be voted on by members of the “Bramlage Brigade” during the month of November.

The prize drawing will be conducted at the final regular season game on March 3 against Texas Tech. One entry per student in the drawing and students must be present to win.

Kansas State women’s basketball finished the 2010-11 season ranked 24th in the nation in average attendance with 4,068 per game coming through the turnstiles. It is the third straight season and the eighth time in the last 10 seasons that K-State has finished among the top-25 in average attendance.

Head coach Deb Patterson returns to the sidelines for her 16th season in Bramlage Coliseum. The Wildcats return eight letterwinners and four starters from the 12th NCAA Tournament squad in school history, including All-Big 12 selections Brittany Chambers and Jalana Childs.

K-State hosts exhibition games with Oklahoma City on Thursday, Nov. 3 and Washburn on Tuesday, Nov. 8. Both games are schedule for 7 p.m., tipoffs. The Wildcats will open the 2011-12 regular season with a three-game home stand starting on Saturday, Nov. 12 against Dartmouth. The game time will be announced after a game time is determined for the K-State football game against Texas A&M.
