Food Donations Accepted at Exhibition Game

MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State athletics department and the Flint Hills Breadbasket have partnered for a food drive in conjunction with the K-State women's basketball exhibition game on Tuesday against Fort Hays State.

Fans who donate a canned food item at the door, can purchase a general admission ticket to that night's game for just $2. One reduced ticket will be given for one donated food item.

The Flint Hills Breadbasket is asking for the following items with the holiday season coming up: canned meats, canned pumpkin, cranberry sauce or macaroni and cheese. All donations will be accepted.

Women's basketball season tickets are still available and begin at $78 for general admission. Bench and chairback seating is available for $99 and $132, respectively.

The most convenient way to order tickets is online at www.kstatesports.com. Tickets may also be purchased in person at the K-State Athletic Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum or by calling toll-free, (800) 221-CATS.

Following its first exhibition contest on Tuesday night, the Wildcats will host Pittsburg State on Nov. 9. The 2009-10 regular season begins on Saturday, Nov. 14, in Bramlage Coliseum against Indiana State.
