Series History
• UTEP leads the series with K-State, 3-2.
• Third straight season the Wildcats and Miners have faced each other. UTEP has won two straight.
• This will be the first meeting between K-State and Santa Clara.

• First meeting between K-State and LSU since Jan. 3, 1990, a 78-64 LSU win in Baton Rouge.

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State will travel south of the border to compete in the Hardwood Tournament of Hope in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, on Nov. 25-27. The Wildcats will face UTEP, Santa Clara and LSU with all three games times set for 5 p.m.

• For the first time since the 2012-13 season, K-State has opened the season with a three-game winning streak. The Wildcats defeated Hampton, 66-46, on Nov. 21 to conclude a perfect home stand.
• K-State’s defense has been solid, forcing 68 turnovers including 42 steals and have blocked 24 shots. The Wildcats lead the Big 12 in scoring defense (45.7), steals (14.0 spg), blocked shots (8.0 bpg), field goal percentage defense (.291) and 3-point field goal percentage defense (.246).
• K-State has been led this season by sophomore forward Breanna Lewis with 11.7 points per game, 4.3 blocks and 3.0 steals.
• All three of the Hardwood Tournament of Hope games can be heard live on the K-State Sports Network and for free at kstatesports.com/allaccess, as Brian Smoller (play-by-play) and Randy Peterson (color analyst) will have the call.

• #KStateWBB recorded consecutive games of 20 assists for the first time since Jan. 19 and Jan. 23, 2008.

Wildcats Strong in the Paint Early This Season
• After three games, K-State holds a +60 advantage in points in the paint (114-54).
• The Wildcats scored a season-high 44 points in the lane on Nov. 14 against SIUE - the most since K-State tallied 44 points in the paint against Texas A&M on Jan. 4, 2012.
• K-State’s post players have a combined field goal percentage of .568 (50-of-88) this season. Three of K-State’s five post players rank among the top-15 in the Big 12 in field goal percentage.
• K-State has held the edge in points in the paint in every game this season. K-State held the edge in the paint in 15 of the 30 games last season.
• In the 2013-14 season, K-State notched 805 points in the paint as a team for an average of 26.8 points per game.

K-State Bench Provides Lift in Opener
• The Wildcats’ bench has provided a big boost to start the season, as K-State holds a +58 edge in the category (91-33). The K-State bench is averaging 30.3 points per game.
• K-State registered a season-high 41 points against SIUE which were over half of K-State’s point total, marking the first time since Jan. 22, 2014 at Baylor that the bench outscored the starters.
• The 41 points were the most for K-State’s second unit since the Wildcats recorded a 2013-14 season-high 52 points against Grambling State on Dec. 7, 2013.

Sharing is Caring
• K-State has been generous with the ball to open the season. The Wildcats are third in the Big 12 in as-sists with 19.7 per game and third in assist to turnover ratio at 1.2.
• The Wildcats dished out a season-high 20 assists against UMKC on Nov. 18 and Nov. 21 against Hampton.
• Over the last 10 seasons, K-State has registered a 39-0 record when dishing out 20 or more assists in a game including two games with 30 or more.
• K-State has been efficient when sharing the ball this season, recording a .702 assist percentage on made field goals. This is the second highest assist percentage after three games since the 2008-09 sea-son (.853).
