MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State athletics officials announced today a change in the start time of the Kansas State women’s basketball Big 12 home opener on Wednesday, January 4, at Bramlage Coliseum.

The Wildcats will host defending national champion Texas A&M at 5:30 p.m. instead of the original scheduled time of 7 p.m. K-State defeated the then-No. 5 Aggies last season in the regular season home finale, 71-67.

"We hope that our fans ring in the New Year in support of our women's basketball team, which is off to a terrific start this season,” said Athletics Director John Currie. “The defending national champions will be heading to Bramlage on January 4, and we want to duplicate or exceed the atmosphere that was instrumental in last year's win.”

A Wildcat Weekday 4-Pack, which includes four tickets, four concession vouchers for chips, drinks and a hot dog, is available for as little as $30 for the matchup. Additional single-game tickets are available for $5 for general admission youth, $8 general admission adult, $9 for bench seating and $12 for chairback.

It will also be Team Night at Bramlage as all middle school, high school, and club basketball teams and K-State women's basketball campers can receive a free GA bench ticket for the game. Teams must RSVP by email to Sara Laha at slaha@ksu.edu.

To purchase tickets, fans can contact the K-State Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 221-CATS or visit www.kstatesports.com/tickets.

The contest will also be available on K-StateHD.TV and select stations on the K-State Sports Network.
