MANHATTAN, Kan.-  Fresh off a second place finish at the 2013 Big 12 Equestrian Championship, the No. 4 Kansas State equestrian team received its seeding for the NCEA Championships on April 18-20 in Waco, Texas. The Western team received the No. 2 seed, while the Hunter Seat team was named the No. 8 seed.

“We are very pleased with where our respective disciplines are ranked for the NCEA Championship and who we will be playing in the first rounds,” said K-State head coach Casie Maxwell. “We feel strongly that our team is peaking at the right point of the season and are excited to build off the momentum we gained at the Big 12 Championship.”

Last season, the Hunter Seat team placed sixth, while the Western team was felled in the consolation round. The Western team earned back-to-back Reserve National Champion honors in the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons.
