MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State equestrian head coach Casie Lisabeth made an addition to her staff on Wednesday, as she announced the hiring of former Wildcat Tara Hallan as the assistant Western coach.

Hallan garnered the program's Most Valuable Player award following the 2009-10 season. She was also a team captain during the 2008-09 campaign and was a two-time letterwinner. In the spring of 2010, the native of Glendale, Ariz., received her degree in social science with an emphasis on psychology.

"Tara is an excellent addition to our coaching staff," said Lisabeth about her new staff member. "She has a great foundation and years of experience in the reining arena that will really benefit our riders. In addition, her three years as a student-athlete at K-State will make the transition smooth as she understands the program we have developed and expectations we have set."

Hallan is the second addition to the K-State equestrian coaching staff this summer, as Lisabeth announced the promotion of current Wildcat assistant Casey Finnell to the Hunter Seat program.
