MANHATTAN, Kan. - Kansas State equestrian senior rider Hannah Ribera was named
co-Horsemanship Rider of the Month, for her outstanding performances during the month of November.

Head coach Casie Maxwell was ecstatic for Ribera and felt it was a well-deserved honor.

"We are very proud of Hannah for all she has accomplished as a rider, thus leading her to an award like this," Maxwell said. "She has had a great start to her senior season and I look forward to helping her continue on this trend."

Hailing from Canyon, Texas, Ribera competed in both of K-State's meets and came away with a perfect 2-0 record while improving her overall record to 5-1. Her two victories came over TCU and Oklahoma State.

Baylor's Samantha Schaefer (Equitation Over Fences), TCU's Demi Stiegler (Equitation on the Flat), Alexie Estrada (Horsemanship) and Kolby Simonson (Reining) were also named to the list.

K-State finished the fall season with an overall record of 6-2 and ranked sixth in the nation. The Wildcats will be back in action on Feb. 1, as the team travels to Fresno, Calif., for a pair of meets against
Fresno State and Auburn.
