WESTON HILLS, Fla. - The Kansas State women's golf team has completed two rounds of golf at the Sir Pizza Cards Challenge and sit in 14th with a two-round score of 649 (+73). K-State recorded a 37-over par 325 in Tuesday's second round at the par 72, 6,211-yard Weston Hills Country Club.

The Wildcats had three individuals improve their scores from the first round but were unable to put together enough low scores to move up the team leaderboard.

"The day was better for Gianna (Misenhelter) and Hanna (Roos)," said coach Kristi Knight. "They both were sharper mentally and physically. Paige (Osterloo) just didn't hole any putts today and was a little off with her approach shots. Tomorrow is a new day and they want to finish strong."

Florida International jumped up the leaderboard to grab onto the top spot in team competition with a 300 (+12) posting in the second round. The Panthers have a two-round total of 29-over par 605 and a two-stroke advantage on Miami and Memphis.

K-State's Paige Osterloo started the day in a tie for 12th but shot an 8-over par 80 in the second round to drop to a tie for 27th. The junior has a two-round total of 11-over par 155.

Misenhelter and Roos each improved their scores by six strokes from round one to round two. Misenhelter carded a 5-over par 77 and now sits in a tie for 49th, while Roos recorded a 7-over par 79 and is in a tie for 61st.

Emily Houtz scored an 18-over par 90 in the second round to hold a 36-hole total of 171 (+27). The senior is in 75th among individuals.

Laura Hildebrandt was the third Wildcat with a score improvement in round two as the sophomore recorded a 17-over par 89 compared to her first round 91 (+19). Hildebrandt sits in 78th overall.

K-State's third and final round of the Sir Pizza Cards Challenge will begin with a 7:30 a.m. (CT) shotgun start on Tuesday. Results will be posted at www.kstatesports.com as soon as they become available.
