K-State's Osterloo Ties for Sixth at BYU Classic

ST. GEORGE, Utah – After starting the day in a tie for eighth, Kansas State junior Paige Osterloo carded a 2-over par 74 to move up two spots on the leaderboard in the final round of the BYU at Entrada Classic finishing in a tie for sixth.

The Wildcats finished 10th in team competition among the 15 squads that participated at the par-72, 6,073-yard Entrada at Snow Canyon Country Club.

Osterloo’s sixth-place achievement is the second top-10 finish and the fourth top-20 finish of her career. It is also the highest finish of her junior season since she tied for second at the Chip-N-Club Invitational during the fall. The Rapid City, S.D., product also notched a career-low 54-hole score of 10-over par 226, besting her previous low of 13-over par 229.

K-State finished 10th after recording its best round of the event with a 21-over par 309. The three-round total of 72-over par 936 is the lowest of the spring season.

Wisconsin held onto the leaderboard throughout the last round to win the team crown with a score of 50-over par 914. The Badgers held off second-place Oklahoma State, which recorded a 55-over par 919.

New Mexico State’s Demi Mak took home the individual championship with a 54-hole score of 2-over par 218.
K-State’s Gianna Misenhelter recorded three-straight rounds of 6-over par 78’s to total a score of 18-over par 234, tying for 26th.

Whitney Pyle and Ami Storey each tied for 39th with a score of 22-over par 238. Pyle shot a 7-over par 79 in the final round and Storey recorded a 6-over par 78.

Kristen Dorsey finished in a tie for 67th, moving up four spots from the second round. Dorsey carded a 54-hole score of 36-over par 252.

K-State will continue action Friday at the Mountain View Collegiate in Tucson, Ariz., held at the Mountain View Golf Course.
