TUSCON, Ariz. - The Kansas State women's golf team finished in eighth place with a three-round score of 26-over par 890 following Saturday's final round of the Mountain View Collegiate at the par-72, 6,227-yard Mountain View Golf Course.

"We didn't have the round that we wanted to today," head coach Kristi Knight said. "But I'm pleased with the progress that we have made this season as a whole."

Junior Olivia Eliasson finished the tournament in eighth place with a 1-over par 217, her second top-10 finish this season. Eliasson carded nine birdies and finished the tournament ranked second in par-5 scoring with a 4.67 average.

Also succeeding on the par-5 holes was Carly Ragains with a 4.75 average. The junior from Highland Village, Texas, also carded nine total birdies and finished tied for 11th place at 3-over par 219 -- her best 54-hole performance this season.

"Olivia and Carly both played well and had solid finishes," Knight said. "We were in the hunt after rounds one and two. We just need to keep finishing strong."

Senior Gianna Misenhelter, who carded the fifth-most pars in the tournament (39), finished a tie for 35th overall with a 10-over par 226. Two strokes behind her was freshman Katherine Gravel-Coursol, who carded a 12-over par 228 to tie for 48th.
