Wildcats Sit in Ninth Entering Final Round

RHODES, Iowa— The Kansas State women’s golf team bettered its strokecount by 44 in the second round to sit in ninth at the Big 12 Championship at the par 72, 6,055-yard Harvester Golf Club.
Olivia Eliasson notched a 5-over par 77 in the second round to sit in a tie for 33rd. The sophomore looks to continue her successful spring slate and earn her seventh top-20 finish of the season.
Gianna Misenhelter and Whitney Pyle both turned in a 2-over par 74 in the second round. Misenhelter improved her strokecount by 14 to sit in a tie for 33rd, while Pyle bettered her strokecount by 16 to sit in 40th.
“Whitney and Gianna bounced back with steady rounds,” said head coach Kristi Knight. “Olivia did a nice job also. The conditions were much better for scoring, but we could not get a fourth score today.”

Hanna Roos carded a 9-over par 81 to sit in a tie for 42nd, bettering her strokecount by six. Carly Ragains rounded out the scoring lineup with an 18-hole score of 14-over par 86.
Baylor leads the team competition after firing a 2-under par 286 in the second round. Iowa State and Oklahoma State sit in a tie for second, one stroke behind Baylor.
Baylor’s Lauren Taylor continues to remain on top of the individual leaderboard with a 36-hole score of 2-under par 142, three strokes ahead of second-place P. Phuntumabamrung of Iowa State.
