LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Kansas State women's golf team closed out the fall campaign with a 15th-place finish in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at the Stallion Mountain Golf Club. The Wildcats shot 603 (+27) in the 36-hole tournament and finished the fall season with a 30-35-1 record.

"We have struggled this fall getting four good scores together, and that is unfortunate," head coach Kristi Knight said. "We have had individual players play well but have nothing to show for it as a team."

Junior Carly Ragains moved up four spots on Tuesday and finished in the top-20 once again by carding a 2-over par 146 to finish in 17th place. Ragains has finished in the top-20 in four out of the five tournaments this fall. Her seven birdies throughout the tournament were tied for the fourth-most among all competitors.

Also moving up the leaderboard on Tuesday was K-State freshman Katherine Gravel-Coursol. Gravel-Coursol carded a 2-over par 74 to move up 12 spots, finishing the tournament in 40th place with a 6-over par 150.

"Carly and Katherine played well today and finished strong," Knight said. "Although Carly was ill, she still had a strong finish."

Oliva Eliasson improved her stroke average and finished the tournament at a tie for 58th place with a 9-over par 153.

Finishing the tournament with the second-lowest scores on par-5 holes was senior Gianna Misenhelter, who went 4-under par through the eight long-distance holes. Misenhelter finished the tournament at a tie for 67th with a 10-over par 154.

K-State will begin the spring campaign February 14-16 at the Florida State Matchup in Tallahassee, Fla.
