Regan Leads Wildcats on First Day of Mo?morial

BRYAN, Texas Michelle Regan parred five of her final nine holes and added a birdie while shooting a first-round 79 at the Texas A&M Mo’morial on Friday. Regan’s (+7) score put her in a tie for 28th and helped K-State to 14th position after the first round at Traditions Golf Club.


No. 3-ranked Arizona State sits at the top of the leader board after shooting a 303 (+15) on day one 23 strokes ahead of the Wildcats. Kansas State is one of seven teams representing the Big 12 and is sixth among the conference schools after carding a 326 (+38).


Haley Mireles also turned in a strong performance late, parring the final seven holes in her round of 81 (+9). Mireles bogeyed eight of the first 11 holes but rallied to card the second-best score for the Wildcats.


Helene Robert shot an 82 (+10) and Abbi Sunner and Katy Heffel finished the afternoon tied after shooting an 84 (+12).


The Wildcats tee off Saturday at 8 a.m. and will play the third and final round on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Results will be posted as soon as they become available. Live stats can be accessed on
