Wildcats in Seventh at Big 12 Championships

WACO, Texas. The Kansas State women’s golf team finished the second round of the Big 12 tournament in seventh place, just four strokes out of fifth place.

 

Oklahoma State posted a second round 303 to take the overall lead, the Cowgirls sit at 308-303611 (+35). Kansas’s Amanda Costner holds the individual lead after carding a 71-73144 (E).

 

Wildcat senior Helene Robert finished the second day with an 80-76156 (+12) to finish the day tied for 21st with teammate Abbi Sunner. The freshman Sunner has carded a 78-78156 (+12) to this point in her first Big 12 tournament.

 

Junior teammates Hailey Mireles and Michelle Regan finished the day tied for 42nd. Regan has scored a 75-88163 (+16), while Mireles has carded an 84-79163 (+16).

 

Senior Katy Heffel struggled today carding a second round 90 to finish the day at 166 (+18), tied for 52nd.
