AUSTIN, Texas - The Kansas State women's golf team currently sits in seventh place after the second round of the Big 12 Championship at the par-72, 6,143-yard UT Golf Course. The Wildcats dropped five positions on the leaderboard after shooting a 23-over par 311 Saturday.

"Today was a tough day. We were not quite as sharp with ball striking and putting," head coach Kristi Knight said. "But we still have an opportunity to come out tomorrow and put a good round together."

Senior Gianna Misenhelter remains in the top-10 after a 4-over par 76 in Saturday's second round. Misenhelter, who currently sits at a season-best 36-hole score of 2-over par 146, carded one birdie on the day and trails individual leader Natalie Karcher of Texas by six strokes.

Junior Carly Ragains carded a 5-over par 77 in the second round and currently sits in a tie for 13th overall. Ragains carded two birdies on the day, including one at the second-hardest hole of the day, the par-4, 381-yard No. 7.

Also carding a five-over par 77 in the second round was junior Olivia Eliasson, who tallied one birdie on the day. Eliasson joins Ragains in a tie for 13th overall and heads into Sunday's final round nine strokes off the lead.

Rounding out the scoring lineup for K-State was freshman Madison Talley, who carded one birdie on the day en route to a 9-over par 81. Talley has a two-day score of 16-over par 160 and currently sits in a tie for 39th.

Freshman Katherine Gravel-Coursol withdrew from the second round after nine holes due to illness. She will return to action Sunday and will be the first to tee off for the Wildcats at 8:00 a.m. (CT). K-State will be paired with defending champions Oklahoma State and TCU.
