Three Cats Finish in Amateur Top 10

LANSING, Kan. Two current Kansas State women’s golfers and one former Wildcat recorded top-10 finishes at the Kansas Women’s Golf Association (KWGA) Amateur Championship, held July 15-17, at the par-70 Leavenworth Country Club in Lansing, Kan.

 

Sophomore-to-be Emily Houtz placed fourth overall and third in the championship flight after a three-round score of 18-over 228 (79-74-75).

 

Right behind Emily Houtz was former Wildcat Michelle Regan, who won the Kansas City Women’s Amateur in June. Regan turned in a 19-over 229 (80-74-75) to finish fifth overall and fourth in the championship flight.

 

Another future sophomore, Elise Houtz, carded a 25-over 235 (81-79-75) to finish tied for eighth overall.
