MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State women's golf team will participate in its final event of the fall season as the Wildcats travel to Kiawah, S.C., to play in the Palmetto Intercollegiate, Oct. 23-24, at the par-72, 5,907-yard Oak Point Golf Course.

The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Sunday with an 8:45 a.m., shotgun start. The final 18 holes will be played on Monday beginning with a 9 a.m., shotgun start.

The Wildcats are coming off a ninth-place finish at the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic and look to finish out the fall schedule on a high note.

"The team is looking forward to getting back out," head coach Kristi Knight said. "We were not very sharp as a whole the last event, but we still managed to finish in the middle of the pack in a highly competitive field, which says something about our team. Overall, the ladies are looking to finish out the season strong."

K-State will use the scoring lineup of Gianna Misenhelter, Ami Storey, Whitney Pyle, Paige Osterloo and Kristen Dorsey for the second time this season. The lineup previously finished second at the Johnie Imes Invitational.

Misenhelter, who leads the Wildcats with two top-five finishes, looks to continue her success this upcoming weekend as she leads the team with a 74.17 stroke average.

Storey, Pyle and Osterloo have also been a big asset to the squad's success in previous tournaments, and all three are looking for their third top-20 finish.

This will be Dorsey's second team event of the season. She last competed at the Johnie Imes Invitational.

Kansas State will be joined at the Palmetto Intercollegiate by Bucknell, Campbell, Charleston Southern, The Citadel, College of Charleston, East Tennessee State, Elon, Illinois State, Jacksonville State, Kansas, Maryland, Morehead State, Richmond, South Dakota State, UNC Greensboro, Western Carolina and William & Mary.
