Cats Add Third Golfer to Recruiting Class

MANHATTAN, Kan. The Kansas State women’s golf program announced the signing of Woodlands Park, England native Ami Storey on Wednesday. Storey will join the Wildcat recruiting class for the 2007-08 season which includes Manhattan natives Elise and Emily Houtz.

 

“I am pleased to sign Ami Storey,” said head coach Kristi Knight. “Ami is a great addition to our program. She brings an excellent work ethic and vast amount of competitive experience. Her game will continue to develop in college and she is looking forward to getting to K-State and getting started.”

 

Storey was the Under-18 Player of the Year for her county and was the 2006 Ladies County Champion, the youngest winner in the last 75 years of the tournament. Storey was the Junior County Match Play champion, Junior County Stroke Play champion and the Northumberland High School Champion in 2004, 2005 and 2006. She was the first person to win both the County Junior and County Ladies Championship in same year, 2006. She is also a two-time winner of the High School Outstanding Achievement Award.
