Entire list of CRCA Scholar Athletes

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Academic honors continue to pile up for the Kansas State rowing team with nine Wildcats being named Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar Athletes. This season marks the third straight year K-State has had nine rowers make the list.

The group of Kaitlyn Arrow (business management), Weatherly Butler (economics/MBA), Allison Dorau (elementary education), Danielle Glynn (secondary education/modern language), Lea Hauldren (sociology), Adria Ley (modern language), Traci Smiley (nutrition/kinesiology), Amanda Weishaar (mass communications/ public relations) and Hanna Wiltfong (mass communications/public relations) all received the honor. Arrow, Butler, Glynn, Smiley, Weishaar and Wiltfong all received the honor last season as well. Ley was a scholar athlete in 2010. Butler and Weishaar are now three-time honorees, receiving the award every year they have been eligible.

To be named a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete a student-athlete must hold a cumulative 3.5 GPA or higher for her career through the fall semester of the current competition year. They must also meet all eligibility requirements by their respective institution and be in at least their second year of eligibility. The student-athlete must have participated in 75 percent of the team’s spring races or in a regional conference event and the team’s head coach must be a member in good standing with the CRCA.
