2007-08 K-State Women's Rowing Media Guide

Greetings from the Coaches and Staff of Kansas State Women’s Rowing!

Thanks for taking time to check out our guide. We are actively searching for young women who love to compete and desire to excel athletically. This guide offers you a tour of our program and reveals the opportunities and excitement of being a NCAA Division I athlete.

“But,” you may ask, “I’ve NEVER ROWED in my life! In fact, I’ve never even seen a rowing boat before.”

Well, you’re no different than most of our current student-athletes were not long ago. Many competed in volleyball, basketball, and other sports in high school and desired to stay active and competitive during college.  Some had scholarship money offered to them elsewhere, but chose to join a NCAA Division I program that opened the door to a world class education and opportunities. They discovered a new sport and passion as a member of the Kansas State Women’s Rowing team.

For those with rowing experience, Kansas State offers an opportunity to master your skills and compete against some of the best athletes in the nation. Our coaches and training staff are among the most experienced you will find anywhere at the Division I level, and all of us are purposeful in our efforts to take and keep Kansas State among the best.

In addition to academic help, athletic scholarships, and worthwhile competition, you will have opportunities to travel throughout the country and make friends that will last a lifetime.

This is an exciting time for Kansas State Women’s Rowing. Don’t miss out!

Please e-mail us. We want to know you better and help you along the first steps toward becoming a Wildcat!
