PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – K-State’s Petra Niedermayerova looked to reach the quarterfinals of the Riviera/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Women’s All-American Championships on Friday for the third straight year, but was defeated in the second round of the main draw.

Niedermayerova, ranked No. 12 in the preseason ITA national singles rankings, fell to No. 27 ranked Beatrice Capra of Duke, 6-1, 6-0 to end her action at the Riviera Tennis Club. The product of Brno, Czech Republic, is now 3-2 this season and concluded her career at the Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships with a 6-3 record.
