K-State head coach Danielle Steinberg
• “We started off again a little too on our heels against ISU, but managed to get by and overall played good doubles. Even though we lost the 3rd round to OSU, I think we played a lot better and more aggressive, which is what we are working on. We are definitely heading in the right direction in our doubles game.”
• “Palma was so tough today. She played 4 matches overall this weekend and despite being pretty beat at the end, she pushed through and fought for every point. Those are two more solid wins for her and I feel like she is getting better with every match she plays.”
• “Sara did very well today. She lost to Stevens at OU and I am very pleased with the way she came out and executed our game plan. I am mostly happy with her being able to implement some strategy changes after dropping the second set. I think a month ago she would not have been able to do so, and that's very encouraging for the future. Advancing to the quarterfinals of regionals is a great achievement, but we are all still hungry and excited for tomorrow's match up against OSU."
