Day Two Release from the KU Invitational

LAWRENCE, Kan. - K-State women's tennis put a cap on its 2010 fall schedule on Sunday afternoon at the KU Invitational. Sophomore Carmen Borau Ramos collected the consolation title in her draw and end the fall with back-to-back wins.

Borau Ramos dispatched of Dylan Windom of Kansas in straight sets, 6-0, 6-3, in the consolation finals of the Blue Draw. The native of Jaca, Spain, recorded a 3-6 mark during the fall, including three wins in her last five matches.

Junior Nina Sertic was halted in her bid for the Crimson Draw title, falling to Joanna Szymczyk of AASU, 7-5, 6-2. Sertic will enter the spring slate with a 5-4 record this season.

Kansas State will now make preparations for the spring campaign. The Wildcats will travel to the Bulldog Invitational on Jan. 14 for the squad's final tune-up before the spring season begins on Jan. 21 against New Mexico.
